Sorrow, deep sorrow,
At the first few strands of grey
Moments once encountered
Will never come our way
Time flies so swiftly
With every passing day
Bygones must be bygones,
Nothing’s here to stay.
So live only love,
Rid your mind of hate and scorn,
Let forgiveness in your heart,
Don’t leave regrets undone
Like night slowly giving way
To a bright new dawn,
Live only for today
For yesterday is gone.
