THE SEASONS
Winter is in,
The fire lights the hearth aglow
Snowfall piles up at the door
And we in warm woolens lie
And contemplate the dreary sky!
And watch the snowflakes spill
Perched on the windowsill.
Summer’s here!
The glorious sky is all ablaze,
Flowers abloom in the sun’s rays
And Nature’s alive, spirits soaring high
As birds twitter and children flitter
In frolic and in fun,
All welcoming the sun.
Monsoon comes;
Umbrellas wave in the air
And there are puddles everywhere,
Raincoats, rain hats and galoshes,
Pitter, patter, swishes, splashes,
Faces peer from behind panes,
Watching the endless, pouring rains!
