MESSENGER OF LOVE
The Cross of the Savior beckons you and me
To the crucified Jesus Who set us free!
He had come on this earth on a mission of love,
To open the gates of the heavens above,
To the whole of mankind who, cleansed of their sin
Could finally gain a free passage within.

How cruel the treatment to Jesus we gave,
The Son of God, who had come just to save
All men from the deep clutches of hell,
Yet, Him did we torture; Him did we sell!
Forever thereafter to hang down our head
In shame, at the thought of how He had bled.

But the Lord is all merciful, the Lord is love,
His Spirit descends in the form of a dove
To fill our hearts, free us of remorse,
To lift our heads high and alter our course
The Lord has risen! He reigns up above,
In loud voices, sing praises of the Messenger of Love!
