TRICKS OF FATE
It doesn’t only rain, rather, heavily it pours;
Trouble never disappears but keeps piling at our doors;
Joy barely stays, it gets displaced by endless sorrow,
Ere you get to live today, you’re facing a tomorrow!
Just spot a ray at tunnel’s end and sunset starts to fall,
The line of silver in a cloud, not visible at all!
Trying to grab a star that falls almost within your grip
Is bleak! It’s like the slip you find between the cup and lip!
Climbing a ladder to success, ain’t as easy as it seems
Rigorous, the divide, ‘tween reality and day-dreams
Yet like fools we try to rush where e’en angels fear to tread,
Before our foot ahead we move, just count to ten instead!
And count each of our blessings while the chosen path one picks,
Where fate will fail to trip us, with her famous bag of tricks!
