THE CIRCLE OF LIFE
Once, there was love, we knew God,
There was discerning good from fraud
There was faith, there was communion
Thru’ holy matrimony, there was union.
Then, an evil plot was hatched
And all innocence it snatched
Brought discord, and with it came,
Death, enmity, the loss of shame.
A world at war, where separations
Created boundaries, forming nations
Each for himself and God for all!
The motto that brought about the fall.
Out went values, in came vice
Not a soul heeded anyone’s advice
Fashions were followed, fads were set
Dark alleys opened, for drugs to get.
Crass relationships quickly inflamed
Religion forgotten, God blasphemed
A transgender culture shot to fame
Scam, became, the name of the game
It became so heinous, it began to rot
Infectious diseases it soon begot
And dying young was no shock at all
As virtue went for a toss and a fall.
That’s when humanity hit rock bottom
And suddenly what was forgotten
Came to mind and with it the wisdom
That to climb to the top was the solution
When we fall we rise, when we rise we fall
Takes a 360 degree vault to cover it all
And a new civilization, it ultimately entails
Like a coin, so in life, its heads and tails.
Heads you win, and if its tails you lose
One rarely, if ever, really gets to choose
The storyline’s certain, our version falls flat
The end written, put simply, ‘life’s like that’!
