LIVING OUT OUR DREAM

Our lives as we know it, from cradle to coffin
Is nothing short of growing, evolving, only to reach stagnation
It starts with our rising, at the dawning of each morn
To the setting of the sun at dusk, to the horizon, till it’s gone!

And the way, during day, that we stay enlivened,
Is to develop and nurture a mindset that’s so fashioned
That when night starts to fall, at curtain call,
we begin life in our dreams
Is that reality, is this life feigned, can take it however it seems.

Transported to another world, we envision tales we cannot control
We’re sometimes young, sometimes old, always playing a different role
We may live in mansions, mingling and dining, with people of repute and fame
Or we may be strugglers, criminals, individuals bearing another name.

All intense roleplay, when we wake, our memory cannot be stirred
In dreams they’re crystal clear, in real life, a labyrinth that’s blurred
We combat terror, face dreadful evil and come out unscathed
Encounter the stuff of which only real heroes are made.

But life if it that simple was, wouldn’t scare like a nightmare
If only dreams were life and life a dream, we could courageously dare
To perform the tasks we’re meant to do, with perfection and obtain
The rainbow’s end we seek and keep battling all our life to gain.
