There are moments when push comes to shove,
That’s when our thoughts go to God above!
The only time that we seem to be,
With the Lord, in perfect harmony!
In depths of deepest trial and pain,
We seek recourse to His Holy Name,
But plain forget in times of plenty,
His hand has blessed this joy and bounty!
Ungrateful, wretched beings are we,
Too selfish to be able to see
That each breath intake piles up our debt
In the book the angel of God has kept.
It’s time we took more than a glance,
At our life that we’ve entrusted to chance,
To check the balance in our scales,
And trust in God’s love, when all else fails.
For that’s the greatest truth of all,
God picks us up each time we fall!
Whatever the damage to our soul,
He touches, heals and makes us whole.
It takes us just a little time,
To acknowledge the strength of the sublime
To live this knowledge every day,
Christ is the Life, the Truth, the Way!

Wonderful poem. Helps us realise and remember what is really important and not be carried away with all trivial things. Most think of God only in times of trouble and are otherwise even unaware of His existence. A perfect poem especially at the start of Advent!! Love the audio!
