DESTINY’S CHILD

DESTINY’S CHILD.
I took full seed in human bondage
Cocooned and secure, I grew in courage
And then in sudden burst was thrown
On the mercies of a world unknown.

The sheer vastness, the infinite space
Gazing into the eyes of an unknown face
So lost and lonely, so deeply exploring
A universe laid out for my growing

Just one face familiar, one look of love
One hand so soft, yet firm with resolve
I gazed at her face and knew no other
Yes, the calm composure of my mother.

With the growing years I stood out tall
Though I stumbled, yet I did not fall
My mother’s hand was always near
To hold and pull me through my fear.

So gracious, the countenance she wore
Through joy and sorrow, all she bore
The lessons learnt, I moved ahead
And time moved on, now mother’s dead.

Alone, single-handed, I forge a path
I review my life right from the start,
And know for sure what lies ahead
The faith imbibed has stood good stead!

Our roads are chalked, all twists, all turns
Decided, detailed by the Almighty One
He has set His plan and sealed our fate
From start to finish, at heaven’s gate.

God is the One in the heavens above
And on this earth, it’s our mother’s love
And destiny’s shape, it is crystal clear
Is in love of God, combined with a holy fear.
