LIFE IN A DAY

I wake up in the morning
Unto the light of dawn
And know that God is smiling
On each and everyone.

And as I move into the day
I feel His profound gaze
And know His light is shining
Upon each and every face

The twilight is upon me
The day is almost done
I reach for His hand to guide me
Thro’ a race that’s almost run

Night drapes itself around me
But ne’er do I fear
Cause God’s amazing graces
Are with me far and near

Thus thro’ life’s lone path I pass
With firm, unhurried tread
Sure that God goes ever with me
From the living to the dead

‘Tis faith in Him to believe
E’en though I do not see
Assured of a just reward
Of His presence eternally.
